Our Process to Renovate Your Home

Our goal at Casa by Charleston is to get you comfortable with the remodeling process from day one. We want to get to know you and learn about your desires for your space and will request that you fill out our Home Remodeling Survey. We offer two complimentary design consultations: the first to gather measurements and a wish list, and the second to present our design and pricing options. We present multiple design and pricing options so you can see all that is available and we will also show you some of our quality work first hand. Once you want to move forward, we collect a design retainer, which is a deposit that applies to contract pricing.

We start our final design process by an in depth onsite job inspection where we verify our measurements, take before photos and look at all existing items in your space. From that point, we proceed in the design process by drafting up all architectural plans and selecting materials. Casa by Charleston will bring our expertise to the table during every phase of this process. All design details will be presented to you via numerous meetings that will be held in our selections center. All labor and product will be specified and priced out in a contract binder. These documents are signed and the contract is finalized.

Casa by Charleston is in charge of ordering and tracking all construction materials and product as well as permitting for your job. As soon as the final contracts are signed, our designers will place orders for all selected materials. We handle this tedious task for you so that you can sit back and prepare for your newly remodeled space. We also process all of the needed permitting paperwork so that your work complies with city codes. We start construction the right way, with permits in hand and all products ready to be installed. Your project will go smoothly by the implementation of our thoughtful process.

Within the week before construction begins, Casa by Charleston prepares the home and you and your family for construction. We deliver plywood to protect your driveway from the dumpster we have delivered onsite. We also have a pre-construction meeting to discuss logistics of contractors working in the house, project timeframe, and construction expectations. All vents are covered, floors are protected and plastic is put up to prevent dust spread. If a kitchen remodel is planned, we can move your existing appliances to another room to create a temporary kitchen. Our goal is to make the construction process as comfortable and as painless as possible for you.

Casa by Charleston provides an onsite Project Manager who oversees all tradesmen and inspections. During the construction phase, we focus not only on the work at hand but also the importance of clear communication. This ensures that the project stays on schedule, the client's vision is implemented and quality craftsmanship is achieved. We will make sure that the space not only passes local city inspections but also gets approved by the keen eye of our project team. The Project Manager and the Design Manager work as a pair to guarantee that your remodel is remarkable and that you are satisfied throughout the entire construction process.

Prior to the finish of the job, Casa by Charleston's inspection team will complete their final inspections of your remodeled space. In addition to this inspection, we will conduct a final walk through of your space to ensure that the level of craftsmanship meets your expectations. Any punch list items created by the inspection team or you will be noted and corrected. Our goal is to have our clients 100% satisfied after we complete your construction.

Nothing is more exciting than moving back into your freshly remodeled space. We take great pride in all of our projects and want you and your family to be as proud of your newly remodeled space as we are. As an added peace of mind, Casa by Charleston includes both a 90-day and 1 year warranty. Our warranty manager will conduct a walk through with you after 90 days and will address any issues that have arisen. This same process is repeated again after 1 year.
